Description Stainless steel reinforcing bar, is now used widely to avoid corrosion and reduce the costly replacement of corroding mild (carbon) steel reinforcing bar.The main problem with using carbon steel rebar is the spalling of concrete due to the corrosion of the steel within the concrete. Stainless steel reinforcing bar eliminates this problem. The bars are ribbed to help bond the bar to the concrete.   All stainless steel reinforcing bar conforms to BS 6744: 2001 and are CARES approved.
